The course was at Dawi Fitness Gym, somewhere at Samariang on the way to Santubong. There’s about 20 of us, and I’m like the only Chinese there. Not like there’s an issue with that or anything…
The first day (or rather, the first night) was all about footwork and punching techniques. I supposed having a background in Tae Kwon Do helped in getting the techniques right; still it was impossible to master the combination of the footwork and the punching in less than two hours.
I must say the trainer Mr. Bernard Radin is fantastic in teaching!
Looking forward to the continuation of the class tomorrow. And the eventual sparring session too…I think the last time I sparred with someone was way back in high school. Oh this is going to be interesting!
